Remedial Massage

What an appointment looks like

The goal of each remedial massage treatment is to increase functional movement, reduce generalised pain levels and help you recover better

Your first visit starts with a thorough medical history and physical examination including postural and orthopaedic assessment.

Treatment is then provided to attempt to alleviate symptoms and have you feeling better. This will be followed up with a plan to correct or manage the root cause of your pain, so you do not fall back into a cycle of pain and become reliant on treatment.

The musculoskeletal issues that may benefit from Remedial Massage include:

  • Neck pain and headaches

  • Spinal and lower back pain

  • Joint injuries

  • Sporting injuries

  • Muscle strain/tension

  • Repetitive strain injuries

Methods used include:

  • Soft tissue release (myofascial, trigger point, deep tissue)

  • Exercise and mobilisation

  • Dry needling
